TL Woodliff (known as Terran or Terri or Heymom or Sis and even Babe, from one singular soul) learned her first writing lesson at the age of ten, when she submitted a story to a teacher and learned the pain of waiting for a response: Nails were chewed, plates of food were ignored, and anguish discovered. The teacher's response? "You cheated." She'd assumed one of the parents helped her write. Thus, the second writing lesson was learned: Be particular with whom you share your stories.
She never stopped writing and learning new lessons. Becoming a book coach allows her to share those lessons and be an eager participant in each writer's journey, instead of becoming another obstacle or naysayer the field sometimes draws. Every soul has a story worth sharing - it's in our DNA. Once we know where to start, it will happen!
With a Master of Science in Applied Psychology and a BA in Literature, she facilitates writing circles, workshops and retreats that are focused on mastering the art of storytelling while enjoying the process. "There will be great quantities of laughter!" And though nail biting is still a part of the process at times, she's learned a few mental tricks to make the joy of writing more than a habit, but a part of who you are.
When not teaching and working with writers, she crafts handmade pens from clay, stone, metal and ink to go along with her handbound burn books of transformation, sold only in person at festivals and fairs. https://tlwoodliff.com
