William Minga grew up in Smithfield, Virginia in a farming community. He’s currently a retired civil servant from the Department of Defense who has discovered the joys of writing.

Although his first calling was toward engineering, and his reluctant second career was in farming, he now finds time for his new vocation as a writer between antiquing and furniture-making. He still lives near Smithfield with his wife, Barbara, and their bossy cat, Mooch.
